Facebook Launches Fantasy Sports
Offering fantasy sports is very popular with many bookie pay per head operators. It is highly profitable, so much so that it even garners the interest of social media giant Facebook. Just recently, Facebook launches fantasy sports with their new DFS game called Pick & Play Sports. This is a partnership between Facebook and Whistle sports.
The game will have a leaderboard, where users will be ranked based on the correct predictions that they have made. In addition, users can join public leagues, or create their own with friends. This is highly reminiscent of the old fantasy sports over at Yahoo, which was very popular years ago.

Facebook also plans to add more to their sports betting games. Much like what you will read in sportsbook software reviews, the more betting options available, the happier your players are. For Facebook, they will be offering soon the MLB Home Run Picks, which users can play during the postseason. There will also be a La Liga Winning Streak, where fans can pick a team that they think will win each day throughout the season. However, they cannot pick the same team twice.
Eventually Facebook will also explore more prediction games that will focus on pop culture and TV shows as well. This service is only available on facebook, and we will not be seeing this on Instagram as of yet. The games are very basic, especially if you compare them with the portfolio of wagers that you can find in a DFS betting site. Facebook does have a wide audience, which could be a great way to get people to participate in the start of their venture into prediction gaming.
